HairSmith & Co. offers hair cuts and color, and lunch! Below are definitions to help you navigate your needs.
Partial vs. Full Highlight
Partial Highlights are highlights that are placed from the front hairline to right behind ear, on the sides and front hairline to the crown on top. A Full Highlight, includes the same areas as a Partial, plus hair below the crown of the head to the nape of the neck. Placement can be done with foil or painted.
Balyage is a French coloring technique, developed in the 70's that has made its way to the United States and become very popular in the last 5 years. It is a freehand approach to coloring the hair. The color is painted on the hair, creating a graduated natural looking effect, with a softer root.
Gloss (aka toner or glaze)
A Gloss is a demi-permanent color applied to the hair to either cancel unwanted tones (think too brassy or too yellow) or enhance tones (like a brunette that wants a subtle warmth without the harsh regrowth.)
Single Process is a color service that is done in one step, like grey coverage.
Double Process (aka bleach & tone)
Double Process is color service that consists of two steps, or sometimes more. Think of an all over bleach out that is washed out when done processing, dried, and then a toner applied to cool out the remaining yellow.
Erasing all evidence of that "whoops!" home-color job; wanting a major color change, like from blonde to red; fixing not-quite-right highlights - these all fall under corrective color.
PH Bonders are two-part, in-salon systems that help minimize hair damage during the coloring process (step #1) and repairing it afterward (step #2.)

All haircuts include a wet cut, detail dry cut, massage and style
